Way back in 1979 I heard a sermon based on Ephesians 2:1-10. While not able to remember all of it (that was 31 years ago!) I do remember the point made about verse 4: "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions." That conjunction "but" is profound. The preacher called it "the divine conjunction."
This summer I have read the New Testament looking for that "divine conjunction." It seems to be everywhere, powerful and profound.
Choose a book of the Bible. Read through it and circle every time you come upon the "divine conjunction." Tell me what you discover.
